This Appears to be a Young Coopers Hawk.

We walk often and use Geocaching as an excuse to chase after elusive treasures. This day we visited a cache in an obscure city park in Santa Maria, California and we flushed out this young hawk. We have tentatively identified it as a Coopers Hawk.
